Last week I had the pleasure to be at the Free Grace Alliance conference in Dallas, Texas (read the blog here). It was a very exciting week to hear a variety of speakers in both plenary and workshop sessions talk about various theological issues regarding Grace theology and its impact in ministry around the world.
One of the highlights of the week was the annual banquet where Dr. Dave Anderson gave the keynote address and was also awarded with the Trophy of Grace. The FGA gives this award to a person who is honored for their contribution to the Free Grace Movement. Dr. Anderson has been a beacon of light for Grace in his capacity as pastor and church planter and as the founder and president of Grace School of Theology. He has also contributed many books and articles to promote Grace theology, which have helped many leaders and laymen in understanding the theological issues of the day.
Grace School of Theology had an opportunity to tell the grace community about the variety of degree programs offered and how there are almost 500 students from more than 30 countries around the world taking courses. We sponsored a hospitality suite to provide opportunities for the attenders to visit with the president of the school, Dr. Dave Anderson. Grace also sponsored a lunch for pastors at which we discussed how the seminary could provide training opportunities for the people in their churches. I also invited pastors to consider taking our Doctor of Ministry program. (Perhaps you might be interested?)
Grace Theology Press sold a lot of books, including our two new releases—Position and Condition by Dr. Dave Anderson and A Defense of Free Grace Theology: With Respect to Saving Faith, Perseverance and Assurance, a collaboration between Drs. Dave Anderson, Jody Dillow, Paul Tanner, Ken Wilson and myself. Let me invite you to order a copy of each. Both are very helpful resources.
If you were not able to go to the FGA conference, you will be able to hear the presentations in the near future by going to their website.
Serving Him with you until He comes for us,
