This past week, Grace Theology Press had the opportunity to serve the greater grace community at the Free Grace Alliance national conference in Dallas, Texas. The week provided a good opportunity for me to see many old friends and to introduce many pastors and missionaries to some of our new resources and some of our new books.
Both Grace School of Theology and Grace Theology press were well represented and participated as plenary speakers and workshop presenter. Dave Anderson, Jody Dillow and myself led one of the workshops where we explained the upcoming book project that we are working on as a response to a book attacking Free Grace theology. The audience was very responsive and encouraged.
The theme of the conference was how to deal with difficult passages in the Bible. The presenters dealt with texts like James 2, Romans 2, Matthew 5 and 7, and the question regarding the theology of ” the outer darkness.”
One of the highlights were the variety of missionary moments where people from around the world shared the power of the grace of God and the essential need for clarity of that grace in the presentation of the gospel.
Many of the authors of the books we publish attended the conference and so many had the pleasure of interacting with the authors as well as purchase many of their books. We were able to provide two new books that were literally ” hot off the press”—The Church in the World by Phil Congdon and John, Jesus and Me by Jeremy Vance.
Let me encourage you to go to the website of the Free Grace Alliance and look at what they are doing and how you can be involved. I also encourage you to take a look at the GTP resources. I think you will find some helpful books for you and your ministry. Serving Him with you Until He comes for us
